Employee experience portal increase engagement by 60%

The Challenge

The IntraLee platform was struggling with overwhelming and inconsistent information, making it difficult for employees to collaborate, streamline workflows, and engage with company resources.
To address the pain points, we set out to transform IntraLee into an intuitive and efficient digital hub, tackling issues such as information overload, inconsistent profiles and directories, cumbersome document access, lack of hierarchy and outdated information, ineffective search functionality, and complex sign-in procedures.
Through collaborative efforts between GS-Liferay and LeeHealth, we conducted extensive usability testing and modernized IntraLee to better meet the needs of employees. This case study highlights the insights gained during the process.

Discovery

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

1. Information Overload: Users were overwhelmed with a lot of information, making it difficult for them to find what they needed quickly.
2. Inconsistent Profiles and Directory: Users faced problems in locating people because of outdated or inconsistent profiles, which made it hard to know about the roles and locations of colleagues.
3. Cumbersome Document Access: The use of numerous PDFs made it challenging for users to access content, as they had to open multiple files, leading to frustration and a waste of time.
4. Lack of Hierarchy and Outdated Information: The absence of a clear structure and outdated resources further delayed users in finding relevant information, which impacted productivity and efficiency.
5. Ineffective Search Functionality: The search feature failed to meet users' expectations, as it was time-consuming and inefficient, exacerbating the difficulty in locating specific content.
6. Complex Sign-in Procedures: Users were burdened by the need to sign in multiple times across various applications. This made it hard to access essential tools and resources, particularly for remote work scenarios.
