about

Born in Trujillo, Peru, on the Pacific coast, I developed a deep love for the ocean's sounds and the sun's reflections. Inspired by the communicative nature of whales, I co-founded Overtly Ai, a startup aimed at enhancing communication through a digital plugin.

During my childhood in Huancayo, settled in the Andean valley, I cherished family moments filled with storytelling and hiking adventures. I excelled academically, winning a children's story contest and participating in academic decathlons.

After relocating to Lima for university, I graduated with honors as a lawyer and embarked on a career working with global companies on nationally impactful cases. Alongside professional achievements, I embraced roles as a wife, mother of two sons, and caretaker of an adorable dog.

Though plans to move to San Francisco were derailed by the pandemic, I seized the opportunity to delve into UX/UI Design at UC Berkeley. Over the past four years, I've honed my skills as a remote product designer, collaborating with diverse teams and clients worldwide. My portfolio spans various industries, including agencies, startups, and Fortune 500 companies, I won recognition as a finalist for Best Swiss App in 2022.

Currently based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, I find solace in the Dakota word "Mni Sóta," meaning "waters that reflect the clouds."

Embracing Change: A Flow Journey

As the rain subsides and the sun emerges, the beauty of flowing energy inspires this mood board.

  • The color palette of each hue reflects the dynamic movement of energy, symbolizing the ebb and flow of emotions - from introspective moments to exhilarating highs. Yet, amidst life's ever-changing currents, there's always hope - hope to find peace and embrace the journey. Life is quite an adventurous journey, this is the first for my family and I living abroad.
  • The typography evokes nostalgia, reminiscent of my childhood days coding in the 90s at the age of six when the pixel fonts captivated my attention, and later on more formal and standard fonts, I got familiar sight of legal documents, when I was an attorney to make it clear, simple and easy to read.
  • The visuals, a simple black line pay homage to my earliest pencil sketches of beloved characters like Snoopy and Woodstock, alongside the intricate world of 3D modeling during my path as an interior designer.
  • Patterns draw inspiration from the rhythmic flow, mirroring life's fluctuations. Just as the ocean bends and meanders, we too must remain flexible, navigating both the highs and lows while staying true to our dreams and aspirations.

As a product designer, my focus on projects involving artificial intelligence, SaaS, and B2B necessitates a clean and clear aesthetic, adhering to principles of Glassmorphism, Neumorphism, and accessibility guidelines. Crafting a mood board is a cherished part of my creative process, a reflection of inner expression made visual. From here, I embark on the journey of translating these inspirations into scalable, sustainable designs.
